POP UP ART Gallery 2019
One of our many goals at Ruben and The Bard Studio, is helping shop owners with vacant store fronts, come alive with a Pop Up Art Gallery. Inviting Artist and Musicians the opportunity to present their talents to a new audience.
You are free to use your imagination with your display. This year we’ll be brighten up the store front mentioned below:
When: Mother’s Day Weekend, Saturday, May 11th, 2019
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
There will be two tents provide outside, (Just in case of inclement weather). One for Musicians and the other for Artists who want to paint outside.
Space is Limited. The sections are 4′ feet wide and are available with or with shelves.
4′-foot, aisles or open cooler sections- $10.00 per artist (includes, advertising, refreshments)
3′-foot, closed cooler sections- $8.00 per artist (includes, advertising, refreshments)
A tent will be provided, along with electricity and tip jar.

The Feeling of Community
The rain continued as well, as the flow of people. The community decide that a little bit of rain was not going to ruin their parade of local talents.

Al Wayman owner of Creek Road Pottery was a delight to have at this Pop Up Gallery.
Al’s functional crafted works are wonderfully textured. His use of color and style, not only create memorable pieces of art, but they are highly resilient for everyday use. You can find more of his available pieces on esty, facebook, instagram, and pinterest.
Trades of Hope partners with different rural artisan groups from around the world. They work with the artisans themselves and organizations that are helping women in difficult circumstances. Some women have been rescued from sex slavery. Others are raising handicapped children alone. Some are in war torn countries and others have HIV/AIDS and leprosy. Kelly represents the core ethics of this organization and we were proud to have her on board.
JT Maxwell, is a multi-instrumentalist. He’s a singer, song writer, producer and engineer of his own material.
JT was a delightful addition to Pop Up Art Gallery. His smooth vocal style and instrumental versatility, is a defendant crowd-pleaser. More information about JT Maxwell and his schedule can be found on facebook, reverbnation, and twitter.
Sue Palackas is a contemporary acrylics and watercolor painter.
She has exhibited at the EMCA Gallery and the Dietrich Theater in Tunkhannock and the Community Cup Coffee & Tea House (“The Cup”) in Towanda. Sue is a member of the Kitson Art Alliance. Her use of color is what draws you into the images she creates.
